Dean has a 'gift'. He can see things others can not. Horrible things that normal people simply can't believe. Everyone thinks he's crazy, even his family who sent him away to live in a mental institution when he was only thirteen years old. Practically tortured by the doctors who try to make him 'normal'.
Unable to take it anymore, Dean tries to commit suicide by slitting his wrists. He is dead for less than two minutes, but it is long enough. He now knows he wasn't crazy after all, but now almost wishes he was because he's a suicide and hell is waiting for him.
One day Dean meets Samuel, a halfbreed angel who takes a 'liking' to Dean and tries to help him. To watch over him and guide him as Dean tries to find a way to save his own soul. But if there is one rule among heaven, earth, and hell, it is that halfbreeds and humans do not fall in love.
What happens when they break that rule?
