This tale can be slightly alternate universe, or set in post season 5 somewhere, but the idea is the Apocalypse occured. There are no more angels or demons, or at least there are very few left, and there are no humans left either. At least there are no humans left as far as Sam and Dean know, they survived somehow, but they haven't been able to find any other survivors after several months, or even years. Sam and Dean have never had a relationship other than brothers, and have never thought about each other in that way either. But after so long with only each other, quite literally, certain needs have to be met. Both emotional and physical.

ooohhhh I am very interested in this especially if its a monster or zombie filled post apocalyptic world so all though they are together its also still dangerous.

So I would be happy to be Dean or Sam in this. I'm not fussed.

I would like to play Dean if thats all right. I don't have much experience writing for Sam.

Both works for me. and Yeah I'm happy to play Sam. I'm a better Dean but im a passable sam.

So if were sticking to canon how did Sam get out of hell? maybe he didn't go in the first place? or maybe their out there apart and looking for each other at the beginning?

Actually the idea is the Appocolapse occured as planned, or mostly as planned. So Sam and Dean say yes for whatever reason, we can make up the reasons if you like. Then Lucifer and Michael duke it out, basically killing everything on the planet, but when its over somehow Sam and Dean are still left. So Sam would never go to hell.

I would say the two of them would have to be pretty close when they first come to, or otherwise how are they going to know each other is alive to begin with?

On a side note, seems like my previous writing partner on this plot wants to take up where we left off. So we can either do another plot or I can just change the name of this one since I have a feeling its going to be a really different story anyway. Any ideas for another title?

Oh i wasn't even thinking of that. Them both saying yes. But that works wonderfully. It could mean they have no idea what happened if they don't remember what they did after saying yes. It means they could start looking for people like Bobby and Cas because they just don't know how bad it is. Although I'm sure they would catch on pretty fast once they meet their first zombie.

It could be interesting to have that the croatoan virus mutated when released on that large a scale so the infection starts of Croatoan but then the infected person dies and becomes a zombie? or is that too complicated? We could make it a little (or a lot) like I am legend. So they are not necessarily the last people on earth but they are the last human ones.

They wouldn't necessary need to be at the same place. One or both of them could wake with the compulsion to go somewhere specific or something like that.

yeah these are mostly just song lines that jumped out at me. Im not really fussed about the title.

Yup I'm cool with them both having no memory of what happened and just waking up in hell, not literally, surrounded by crazy zombie people and maybe some other monsters. If they didn't wake up together I suppose its possible for them to both say go check out Bobby's place and meet up there. Or they could be in the same city and not know it and maybe one of them could end up saving the other from some rampaging monsters.

I'm cool with the Croatoan virus as the culprit to the zombie epidemic. Yeah its kinda like 'I am Legend' or 'Resident Evil' but thats fine with me since I like that kinda stuff. We can always put our own spin on it. Like maybe forcing the boys to have to work with some monsters, like vampires and such, simply for survival sake.

"Sleeping Among the Dead" sounds cool as a title to me, what do you think?

Yeah, I had started the plot with someone but the story hadn't been updated in about three months, so I put it back up for adoption. My partner returned yesterday though, and I'm perfectly fine doing it with you too cause already this idea is turning out to be quite different.

I don't know about meeting up at Bobby's only because going to Bobby's in itself could be its own entire plot point. especially if Bobby isn't there. being in the same city and bumping into each other works.

The boys having to interact with monsters is definitely an interesting twist. i like it and "sleeping among the dead" works for me.
